Welcome!
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! Thank you so much for being right here and joining me on this exciting journey.
In January I am going to be making the trip to Costa Rica to join the Nicoya YWAM base there for the next five months. The call to do missions has always been on the back of my mind and something Ive always been drawn to but was never something I seriously considered until earlier this year.
The summer of 2024 I had the amazing and life changing opportunity to go on a missions trip to Jamaica. During this trip I truly experienced the gift of being able to be uncomfortable for the sake of the beautiful gospel. I left Jamaica with the unshakable thought that if being comfortable hinders my faith and trust in God, then I want to pursue an uncomfortable life. In light of this I started to seriously consider missions as a next step.
Along with that I have also had a deep longing to travel the world and see life outside of Minnesota, to learn other cultures, peoples, and places. To experience Gods heart through his creation. This in part is what drew me to Costa Rica, however YWAM Nicoya is also an extremely relational base, they have many programs that are deeply involved with the community and are there to support and love on the people around them.
I am so excited to enter into this new adventure and so excited to have a platform to share how God is working in my life. In this time of preparation I would be so grateful for support in any way that you are able, whether that’s through advice and stories, prayer and scripture, or financially, all is needed and so very appreciated.
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20
